France

French wine’s prestige has been well documented through France’s history and that of its famed wine regions. It stands out in the way it resonates terroir and soil, how weather dictates its very existence, how winemakers tease out its nuances through taste and feel, and even the way it is labelled. Each parcel of land is nurtured to express its own terroir, according to methods perfected over centuries. Now more than ever, new generation winemakers are enjoying the fruit of their ancestors’ labour, delving deeper into the traits that made France the birthplace of fine wine, whilst adding their modern flair. They are defining new wine regions and reshaping this cornerstone of French culture in what can be described as France’s golden age of winemaking. We are fortunate to know such up-and-coming winemakers who subscribe to time-honoured techniques whilst bringing a much-needed breath of innovation in the face of climate change and forever shifting consumers’ tastes.

Many producers overcame a vintage marked with damaging frosts and hailstorms, leaving little room for hesitation and so much potential for greatness with this small yet mighty crop. One thing can be assured: wine will continue to flow Under-the-radar regions like Jura and Beaujolais are catching more of the limelight this summer. This is due partly to supply chain shortages prompting us to go beyond classic regions to quench our thirst for diversity. In the spirit of innovation and exploration that defines our generation, we are proud to bring to market wines that renew consumers’ intrigue for natural wines, quaffable, lighter-bodied reds, orange wines, and even traditional sparkling wines beyond Champagne. Ultimately, we aim to bring a personal touch to your wine buying and drinking experience.
